Day 41: November 3rd 2008:

Today I completely changed my Senior Project topic from focusing on the
stock market to trying to find out what profession path I would like to post
high school. I think this topic is more interesting just because this is real life
that I'm affecting doing this project. I decided to focus on this topic because
I am truly at a crossroad were I don't know what I want to do as a career choice.
So, I'm going to start some research and I will more than likely blog tomorrow.

Day 40: October 31st 2008:

Happy Halloween!
well today is the 40th day of me working on this project. It definitely doesn't
feel like the 40th day, but I guess I've learned some new things within that time
table. I really hope to find a end result soon or else this project will get really
stressful.

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Day 39: October 30th 2008:

I finished setting up my chart schedule in Excel and have been in touch with Mr. Hanna to
get some ideas. My focus has switched from the safest market to why and how the US economy
affects other countries. I keep getting thrown new ideas, but I guess I can manage.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Day 37: October 28th 2008:

DID YOU KNOW!?...

· The world stocks markets make up $480 Trillion.

· World Events can dramatically throw off the stock market. (9/11)

· Buying bonds is a way companies will pay you.

· There are 139 different markets and 5 continents

· The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is the largest market in the world

· Stock Markets were around during the 1700s

· Someone paid $4,000,000 for a NYSE membership

Monday, October 20, 2008

Day 29: October 20th 2008:

Working on my pre-writing questionnaire now and I'm putting alot of thought into
this. I definitly don't want to have a boring project so I have to make sure everything
is perfect. I have to go hard on this, no breaks.

Friday, October 17, 2008

Day 28: October 17th 2008:

I am working on my questions, as planned I end up changing aorund my essential question.
I changed my foucs and put it on the G7 (Group of seven) Market.

-“Within the G7, which countries market has the safest to grow your money in?”

I'm trying to find some ways I can get involved with this topic physically.
Lately I've been meeting with very important people who work in banks
and deal with stocks daily,I plan to meet with them all for interviews.

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Day 25: October 14th 2008:

I'm working on my webliography at the moment, I'm pretty much finished
at the moment. I have a lot of good websites and yet and still there is much
to learn. My essential questions are soon to be posted.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Day 24: October 8th 2008:

Oh! and I almost forgot that I have a 5-day weekend coming up
so I'll try to blog whenever I get a chance. But if not I will be back next Tuesday.

Day 24: October 8th 2008:

I am working on my Essential Questions now, I posted a draft of
it yesterday, I edited it a little. There are six supporting questions
to go along with it so far. I just realized that I have a lot of research to
do with this topic, but it's ok because It'll give me a head start for what
I want to do as my career.

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

Day 23: October 7th 2008:

I'm excited today, I finally got my bank card! :) I feel a
tad more grown up now. I definitely have to be responsible with this,
and make sure I don't go over board. Any who, I think I have a essential
question but I wanted to see what some people thought before I made it
final. "Which top 5 World Markets are the safest to grow your money over a year?"
Does it need some editing Mrs. Savido?

Monday, October 6, 2008

Day 22: October 6th 2008:

I am currently thinking about some other ideas to
work with for my grad project, It seems like a lot just
to start all over again even though I'm not to deep into my
project. I could work around with Costa Rica or something with
business...BUT! Just had an idea, maybe I can do something
with Costa Rica along with stocks/money. "With the current economic
struggles, which stocks or bonds would be the safest to scrape
together $800 for the Costa Rica Trip?"

Friday, October 3, 2008

Day 21: October 3rd 2008:

I finished my Photoshop image yesterday, but I will be posting it
in a few mins with this post. It stands for how the Stock
Market has such a great influence on America, its well being,
and its citizens. I thought that the man sitting down looking
up at the flag would be a good representation of that.
I put a sign of Wall street blended in with a graph of stocks
and its weekly income. I tried to pull out the three flags in the middle
so the biggest flag wouldn't distract you from the surroundings in the photo.
The other things are just some structures around on Wall street, such as
the bull and the signs.

Day 19: October 1st 2008:

I just finished my articles work, and now I am going to
read up on some stock market news. I have set up a meeting

of research outside of school about the market since there
is so much to learn.

Monday, September 29, 2008

I was reading up on some info about the different world stock markets
and how they all relate to each other. Surprisingly I learned a lot today
and I'm really starting to enjoy my senior project so far.
I have to form this into a essential question, That will be in my mind today.

Friday, September 26, 2008

Day 17: September 26th 2008:

Today I am going to work on my key terms and
look up some new information that can help me
learn more about the Stock Market.

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Day 16: September 25th 2008:

Today I had an early dismissal from school to go to
a meeting with my mentor, I met soooo many important
people today, but definitely the most helpful would have
been a gentleman by the name of Curtis Randle El.
He works with stocks and is very intelligent when it comes to
that. AND!! he's the older brother of EX Steeler Antwaan Randle El .
I got his business card and I will definitely keep in touch with him to
guide me throughout my senior project.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Day 15: September 24th 2008:

Today I did some back tracking, but made a lot of progress.I had a brief discussion with Mr. McMeekin about what I should do,he had some good ideas. Next, sat down with Mrs. Savido and spoke about stocks and some possible projects. I think I would like to do some research on the hitstory of stocks, figure the safest investments now,and how teachers with a 403B should invest. I also added to my key terms and Resource list, I found a really helpful page with almost everything you need to know about stocks before you teach the method of investing.

Mr.Hanna e-mailed me about, its about educating teens
as far as finances and financial well-being. I can't remember

Now I have a subject to start with.

Have any ideas for this????
